Description
When you need to finish the inside of your wooden bowl, it can be a challenge to prevent the wood from showing scratch marks. Using a handheld sandpaper can also be somewhat dangerous. Our bowl sander essentially solves this problem by having a dual-layer, smooth rotating head that spins with the bowl's rotation while the bowl rotates on the lathe.
The main unit is fully adjustable so it can be set at any angle you need depending on the size and curve of your project. Unlike most other bowl sanding head units, our bowl sander has two steel bearings to give you a super smooth mandrel rotation while sanding on your lathe. This also helps reduce the risk of marking your wood as the sander will rotate without snagging or getting stuck like so many other brands do.
We have included the most common sanding head with the bowl sander. This sanding head is made of a foam material that gives just enough to give you wonderful results every time you sand your projects. This 1 inch, 2 inch head size works well on most bowl turning projects as it can work with larger or smaller workpieces
